When selling a home, or renting a property, sometimes photos just aren't enough. Some properties simply don't look as good as they do in person, thus, a home tour video is essential to show and highlight the home's best features!
When creating home tours, we can use several different tactics. We like to include drone footage to show the location, the views, and the layout of the home. We use steadicam "walk-through" footage to give viewers the sense of actually being there and to create a sense of movement. Components may vary from home to home, depending on what the goal is. If the realtor wants to create a connection with viewers, it may be beneficial to follow him or her through the house, telling / explaining the home to viewers. If it is for a home rental, seeing the realtor may not be so crucial, but a voiceover may be more appropriate. We can also use creative titles in order to highlight the homes features. Since many viewers watch from mobile devices and may not have their sound turned on, the subtitles / titles may be a better way to reach people.
The best way to approach home tours is to get the best shots and create a catchy promotional video so that viewers are intrigued and motivated to contact the realtor or property manger.
